Genability is a 20-person energy software company that has unique products, big name customers, growing revenue, and we're looking for a Customer Implementation Engineer. Genability is at the center of a distributed, personal energy revolution that will provide clean, cheap, abundant power for everyone. We provide the best electricity pricing and optimization information to New Energy Companies and Utilities via apps, web services, and APIs. Our customers include 8 of the top 10 major solar companies, such as SolarCity, Sunrun, NRG, and SunPower, as well as leaders in Electric Vehicles (BMW, ChargePoint), Home Energy Management (Whirlpool, Lowe’s and Alarm.com) and Energy Storage (Tesla, Stem).
We are looking for a Customer Implementation Software Engineer to provide assistance to new customers during the Integration Phase and ensure they have a smooth release into Production. You'll work with all groups within the Company including sales, product management and engineering and will serve as the lead during their Integration Process. This includes answering one-off questions, scheduling and coordinating technical sessions and developing testing roadmaps. Whatever is on the path from signed contract to a production release, you will own. You will spend lots of time on the front lines with our new customers and will be their primary point of contact.
We're looking for someone with general software engineering experience, specifically app development and data integration. We are especially interested in Java and Apex experience. Experience presenting and working directly with customers is a big plus. You'll need to be self-organized and capable of developing (and executing!) project plans.
Previous experience in energy or cleantech is not required; the ability to learn quickly is.
